This project target’s businesses that has their own website or product which they want their products/services advertised in other websites in a form of a small pop up. The pop-ups can be customized as well like where will it appear, the colors, and fonts as well. Reporting is also available, you can track ads interactions, and how many times it appeared.
The stakeholders have already finalized the functionalities
that they want present in the web app and have commissioned me to create the
wireframes, mockups, prototypes for them to have a visual representation of
their ideas. They have also worked on the app’s flow. So what’s left now is how
to make it beautiful and make the overall experience superb.
I reviewed the functionalities and the flow thoroughly and
have made recommendations along the way. Some recommendations gets a sign off, but
some did not. So through this I was able to conceptualize, and draw what they
want in my mind.
Through more than a couple sessions of brainstorming with the
stake holders I am able to plan and create a timelines. The devs at this part
as well begins to prepare.
Learning
In this session I learned to better explain your
recommendations to the stakeholders because if they did not understand it well
then it can get a thumbs down. And at some time they will realize that your
suggestion can really help.
For this one I explored Adobe Muse and have used it to create
wireframes and prototype. I have also presented it to the stakeholders and I
have to make iterations 3x. After they
signed off, the prototype gets tested. The Stakeholders facilitated the test
overseas and after a couple of testing sessions they talked to me about the
results. Again I made some iterations based on the test results.
Learning
In this session I learned that test data are very important and should be used as basis for changes and iterations as it reflects actual people's needs.
First I create initial mockups for them to choose from. Once
approved I start buidling the rest of the pages. And hand over to the dev for
coding. I also assist the dev by creating a styleguide, and I also provide
guidance while he turns the designs into live working element.
Therefore I conclude that this project is a well organized project and that Design thinking can be integrated even in product design stage, and I do believe that in every aspect design thinking should always be exercised. It can help create a much better product and experience. I may say also that this project turns out successful even with some ups and downs.
